About Live Dealer
A live table is a real table, in a studio, dealt by a person and filmed. You place bets through the interface while the cards, wheel or dice behave the way physical objects behave. There is no random number generator between you and the result — the outcome is whatever happens on the table, which is the point of the format.
Practically, this changes the pace rather than the mathematics. A live round runs on the dealer's clock and on the other players at the table, so a betting window opens, stays open for a fixed time, and closes. That is slower than a computer-dealt table and considerably slower than a slot, and the enforced rhythm is one reason some players prefer it. The published rules, payouts and house edge are the same as they would be for the equivalent physical table.
A stable connection matters here in a way it does not elsewhere. If your stream drops, the round continues at the table and is settled on the server according to the bets already accepted — the result does not wait for you, and it does not change because you missed it. Every live table publishes its minimum and maximum stakes before you join.
Common questions
Yes — a live table is filmed in a studio and dealt by a person. That is the difference between this category and the computer-dealt tables elsewhere on the site.
No. The published house edge follows from the rules and payouts of the game, not from how the cards are produced. Compare the rules of the specific table instead.
The round is settled on our servers using the bets already accepted. The server-side record determines the outcome, not what your screen showed.
A live round has a fixed betting window that opens and closes with the dealer. Bets placed after the window closes are not accepted.
Nothing on this page is advice on how to win, and no game described here can be influenced, predicted or beaten over time. Every game is built to return less than it takes. Play with money you can afford to lose, and set your limits before you start rather than after.
Before you play
Every account at MGE Digital opens with a deposit limit, a loss limit and a session time limit that you set yourself during registration. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising one is held for 24 hours and must then be confirmed by you.
Online gambling is entertainment that costs money, not a way to make it. If it stops being entertainment, BetGuard self-exclusion closes your account across every operator in the Ontario market, and Responsible Gaming explains every other control available to you.
